The Canadian skeleton team have been absolved of charges that they deliberately manipulated a selection race for the upcoming Games, which allegedly denied rival athletes a spot to secure their place.

A prominent American athlete a five-time Olympian accused the team from Canada of withdrawing four of its six entered athletes from a recent event in New York. “The current IBSF Rules permit National Federations to pull competitors from an event at any time,” stated the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF).
