Dominant Aryna Sabalenka Claims Consecutive WTA Top Player Accolades.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player concluded the year with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association player of the year for a second straight season.

The 27-year-old won four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – which included retaining the US Open in September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth Grand Slam singles title.

A Season of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the whole season as the top-ranked player, ending 2025 on top of the rankings for a second successive year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka finished the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a record eleven million pounds in earnings.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes submitted by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a greater prominence".
